Safe travels and enjoy your trip. I happen to like Alabama a great deal. I've met lots of folks there who are quite different from me, my family, and my friends and neighbors, but isn't that one of the great things about interstate travel?

Ok, I think I will just encourage my wife to not concern herself with her previous experiences.

As far as my experiences, I only know that I don't much like traveling through major cities because of the traffic, which is the main reason I want to avoid Atlanta. Other then that I've never experienced a problem with people.

Unfortunutly sometimes I have to plan around my wife's anxiety. She has General Anxiety Disorder. The slightest potential of danger or uncomfortable situations bother her greatly and she sometimes has panic attacks. Monday night the weather channel reported a possibility of tornados and she stayed up all night to watch for one.

Thanks for the positive report on Alabama, it may help calm her down about it all.
