Toronto to Washington, DC

I am planning on driving from Toronto to Washington, DC. I am looking for the quickest route. Mapquest, Yahoo, Google Maps, etc give two different routes. I am hoping that someone can point out the pros and cons of the different routes so I can figure out which way to go!

I am looking for the quickest route.

I would do the Erie to Pittsburgh and then due south before angling over to I-70 and I-270 -- it will be the fastest.
