I was reviewing a new guide book and discovered a lodging option I didn't know about. It turns out there are about 80 cabins and small houses for year-rental just inside the southern boundary of the park. They are in a housing development just north of the Wawona ranger station. These cabins are full equipped with furnishings, maid service and some have hot tubs. I have never stayed here (obviously) but it is an intriguing alternative. More information here.
