Fontana to San Fran to Vegas

Planning a honeymoon trip in mid March. Leaving Fontana Monday morning and wanting to end in Vegas Thursday afternoon/evening.
Few points of interest....
Highway 1, PCH, Big Sur
Santa Barbara
San Francisco
Death Valley or Yosemite

Hoping to travel up hwy 1 from Santa Barbara to San Francisco. Staying in San Francisco one night and traveling to Las Vegas.
Is this trip possible in four days??

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the RTA forums !

It won't be possible to do the coastal drive and visit Yosemite or Death valley in the time you have and even without visiting the National parks, most of your time will be in the car if you spend a day in SF. You really need to get further up the coast than SB on route to SF, around the Cambria area would be a good overnight stop. You can't take the coast and get to SF same day, it's slow going.

Planning a honeymoon trip in mid March.

Congratulations on the pending marriage. Not surprisingly, I did a road trip as part of my honeymoon too. One thing I would recommend is that you greatly reduce the number of miles you are planning to drive on this road trip. Getting married is often a stressful and reasonably exhausting event and attempting to drive 900+ miles on relatively slow driving highways on a tight time budget is probably not the best way to start out your new life together.

If it were me, I would choose one of those destinations and make that the farthest distance of your planned trip so that you have time to sleep in, take short walks and enjoy the beauty of the places you are envisioning visiting.

So.... that would be a four day round trip to:

1. San Francisco along the Big Sur, or

2. Yosemite and the Gold Rush country, or

3. Las Vegas with a day trip to Death Valley
