Carolinas in November

Water is still warm for November thus far, 67-70F, and the air temps next week in the mid-70s. Don't give up in wetting your toes and working up a sweat on the beach!

Be flexible on your Charleston & Savannah itinerary, two fine southern cities. In my book you can visit a golfing community (Hilton Head) anywhere in the USA ;) Between those two southern belles and Asheville you will have a good trip.

Yikes. You're awfully positive. I've lived an hour from the NC beaches my whole life, and I'd never consider November to be a good time to visit them. The OP can certainly walk the beaches and enjoy the view, but chances are good that the Carolina beaches will be cold & windy. A lot of businesses will be closed for the season.

Charleston and Myrtle Beach will still have "enough" going on, but it's silly to be too positive. It's 46 degrees at Myrtle Beach right now. It's too cold to enjoy the beach.

Yes, I am on the optimistic side of this question... only because the warmness or coldness can be relative to where you live and your experience. Believe me, as somebody who has surfed in N. Oregon in November on more than one occasion, the unseasonably warm Folly Beach thus far this month is "tropical." Water is now ranging from 66-70F, not bad, and air temp highs the next 10 days from mid-60s to upper-70s.

In all fairness, my body is more attuned to the tropical waters the past few years but I do drag out the wetsuits when needed :)
