I am not overnighting in Missoula, just stopping there from ID to check it out, so there is drive time prior to that in the calculating. Hear the food is great and the area a cool place to stop. Same re Livingston and maybe Butte.

I agree with your assessment timewise re Billings but, after much research, the town doesn't sound like a good stop for us.
