If you're planning on coming to Chicago time in the near future, the Chicago Tribune printed an article that will give you the inside information on four of the biggest clubs: Blue Chicago, B.L.U.E.S on Halsted, Kingston Mines, and Buddy Guy's Legends.

You'll learn the cover charges, drink prices, food availability, interesting souvenirs, and what environment you can expect. I especially liked the story about Big Ray at B.L.U.E.S. who sometimes has his own band on stage and other nights mans the door collecting cover charges. Even then, he'll sometimes sing with the onstage bands by using a cordless microphone.

Of course, Chicago boasts that it is "The World Capital of the Blues." If you'd like to listen to some of that great sound, you can get a good taste of it every Monday at 9 PM, Central Time, when Tom Marker does his BluesBreakers Show on WXRT FM. You might be able to get it on the World Wide Web.
