  1. Default 10 day trip with 4 best friends...

This spring break (Early March) my 4 best friends and I have decided, instead of going to Canada or Mexico like so many college students do, we'd go on a road trip that we would remember for the rest of our lives...

However, we have very little experience with roadtrips and do not know where to begin. Thats why we figured we'd start here, with the experts.

We are from Pennsylvania, so we're looking for suggestions of East Coast Trips or sites to see. At this point we really have no ideas of where we would like to go, or see so we are very open to suggestions.

Thanks for your time and even more thanks for your help!

    Default suggestions

I'm not sure how crowded it gets during spring break, but Virginia Beach is pretty sweet. Went out there on my first east coast trip last year and absolutely loved it. What kind of stops and sights are you looking to take in along the way?

    Default Start with the Basics

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America forum.

Some evening, sit down with your friends and start deciding on some things. What would you like to see - ocean, mountains, forests, lakes, cities, a bit of each? How much time do you want to spend actually heading down the road and how much time do you want to spend doing and seeing stuff? What kinds of things do you want to do - sports, museums, clubs? Do you want the adventure of going places none of you have ever been or would you rather share with each other some of your favorite places? How much are you willing or able to spend on the trip? Will you be staying in motels, with friends or camping? No two roadtrips are the same, and it's going to be up to you guys to determine what yours will be like. There are any number of possibilities within a few days drive of Pennsylvania, but more important than the details of what you do (which the contributors here can help you with) is the spirit and goals of the trip (which only you can determine).
