    Default Alaska in Jan/Feb

I'm thinking about driving from Utah to Anchorage at the end of January, obviously there will be a lot of weather invoved, mostly white I imagine. I'd be taking a 4wd Toyota Tundra and could put snow tyres on it, is this even a reasonable thought? I'd mostly be doing it for an adventure to see those areas on the way in their winter coat without any particular time restriction. Is there anywhere to stay along the Alcan in winter?

  2. Default Did a little searching...

Check out this link for some information. It appears the Alcan is an all-weather route, but that services in winter while available, can be limited. Certainly sounds possible though -- and I'm glad to hear you're not thinking about riding a bike. Bob
