I am planning a spring 06 trip on the Parkway. How many days should it take to enjoy the whole route from one end to the other.

I am planning a spring 06 trip on the Parkway. How many days should it take to enjoy the whole route from one end to the other.

The weather can still be a bit of challenge in early Spring along this route -- with fog, rain and/or snow making it a bit hazardous in places. But, if the road is dry and weather is nice -- I would suggest a two week window would let you see much of what is cool along this famous parkway.

Here is my plan. Leave FL the 1st of May, spend a week to 10 days in a rental cabin in NC near the Parkway and drive to Wash. DC. Not sure what will come first. I just want to be home by Memorial Day.
