Best car rental - One Way

Hi All,

Lookign at renting a car from LA and returning it to NY. Most rental companies charge a large drop off fee for one way trips. I have found that budget seem to be not too bad on price.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this or experience in the past with one way rentals?

Bob and UK have some good tips about this here.

Personally, I prefer National Car Rental -- because they enforce very few of the little sniggly rules that so many other carriers worry about -- but their prices often tend to be a little higher.
