Thoughts on PCH1 from San Diego to Oregon?

I'm looking for resources regarding taking PCH1 up from San Diego to Seaside (or close to it) in Oregon and back. Does anyone have some good websites or maybe some personal websites for places to stop, routes to take, etc.?

I'm looking for resources regarding taking PCH1 up from San Diego to Seaside (or close to it) in Oregon and back.

There are a number of good guides, we think the best we have found was written by Paige Penland. In her book she provides tips that only locals seem to know. This board has hundreds of suggestions and tips for places to explore on PCH. If you like vegetarian fare -- my favorite place is the Ravens in Mendocino.
