Las Vagas to New Orleans

Two of us are planning a trip from Las Vagas to New Orleans in late July & August. We will have 3 weeks. The first 4 days will include a trip to the Grand Canyon North Rim. After that I would love some advice on places to visit and a route to take. We are from the UK and like to keep to the country side and enjoy visiting National Parks. Any advice would be appreciated.

Here's one possible route and itinerary. This can be done with some time to spend in each location in 3 weeks. It's about 3,800 miles.

Las Vegas (NV) -- Zion (UT) -- North Rim (AZ) -- Page/Lake Powell -- Bryce Canyon (UT) -- Capital Reef Natl Park -- Canyonlands Natl Park -- Arches Natl Park -- Monument Valley (UT) --Canyon de Chelly (AZ) -- Hubbell Trading Post Natl Mon -- Mesa Verde Natl Park (CO) -- Pagosa Springs (CO) -- Chama (NM) -- Great Sand Dunes Natl Mon -- Old Fort Bent -- Taos -- Santa Fe (NM) -- Lincoln County (NM) -- White Sands Natl Mon -- Carlsbad Caverns NP -- Big Bend NP -- San Antonio (TX) -- Corpus Christi/South Padre Island -- Austin -- New Orleans.

Thank you for the suggested route. It gives us something to start with. We have never driven so far before and are looking forward to the challenge.
