Default Fla to Cali and back in 1 month

I have 1 month off this summer and I am planning to take the family out west. (wife and 2 kids) The plan is to visit family along the way. I would like to visit Hou TX, Dallas TX, Greely CO, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and CA. I would like to drive the Pacific coast Hwy too. I have 2 boys ages 9 and 14 years. They are good travelers but they have never spent a month out on the road. We will be traveling in a Ford Expedition so there should be plenty of room. I have just started planning the trip. Is this possible to do in 1 month, or should I tone down the planned number of stops? I'm looking forward to getting some feed back on this.
    Thanks, Bruce

    Default 1 Month is enough

I think you can easily do this trip in a month. If your
boys like the beach, you should allow a few days on the coast road. It'll take 4 or 5 days across the country plus
your stops. I don't know how much time you want to spend
at the cities, but you should leave at least a couple of
days for Grand Canyon. You could do a day hike there to get rid of some of your boys energy. CM

I'de like to stay 5 or 6 days in Ca. Cruising up the state. You suggest a couple of days for Grand Canyon? Cool. Vegas 2 days. The other cities I was just thinking about stopping in and seeing family. Stay the night and get out type of thing.
    Thanks for the response!
