Hello, my sister is moving to Long Beach at the end of September and I got suckered into taking the ride out there. We are planning on taking the Southern Route (through PA, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texa, New Mexico, Arizona, and finally California.) If anybody has any great stops that I should make on the way please let me. We would love to stop for regional foods and any quirky places you know of. Thank you for any advice! Cindy

I suggest the Santa Fe and Taos area for quirkiness and great New Mexican-style Mexican food -- as well as shopping, the arts and great scenery. It's a short diversion north from I-40 at Albuquerque. Bob
