cheap road trip from fl to ca

im planning to go from orlando to california with my boyfriend. want to see the best of new orleans, texas, vegas and california, only have 2 weeks and budget, will like suggestions on campgrounds and places to see. thanks!

As you come into Arizona on I-10, there is a new state park called Kartchner Caverns near Benson. It is a "living" cave -- still growing, although human interference may already be having negative effects on it's future. If you want to see a wonder of nature, this is the place. Try to get reservations ahead of time if you can, as I have tried at the last minute a couple of times and found them booked (other times not). There is camping avaialble at the site.
