Las Vegas to San Francisco (January 2004)

Myself and my partner are flying to Las Vegas on the 11th January and have a car hired to be picked up the next day and the car is to be dropped off in San Francisco on 22nd January. Other than the flight and the car we have nothing else booked or planned so would appreciate all of your suggestions of what we could see and do?

What we had hoped to cover was Death Valley, Zion & Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Hollywood, Yosemite (not sure how much we can hope to see in January) and the coast between LA and San Francisco.

My freind and I are planning a similar trip, from San Diego to San Fran. I'm looking for where to go because we've already done the PCH route (which is awesome). Please let me know what you find between those cities that's worth stopping at!
