Chicago to Niagra Falls -- 4th of July

Hey a few girlfriends and I are planning a roadtrip for 4 days, July 4 th weekend. We would like to visit Niagra falls. ANy tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated. We will be travelling from Chicago.

Stop for a picnic lunch on your first day at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, about 30 miles east of Chicago. (Maybe less...check maps and road signs.)

Definitely stop at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, though I've heard from friends that it's becoming overly commercialized. If you are fans of rock, pop, hip hop, etc. it is a must see.

Do you like amusement parks? Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio is one of the better ones i've been to, though it's been quite a few years since I was there last. It is set in a pretty area on the lake, so there is lots to do in the area.
