Moving L.A. to Boston

My boyfriend and I are moving Mid July and plan on taking the Southern Route. We have 3 weeks depending upon $$$. We are driving a 97 prelude. Any suggestions on traveling with a limited budget?

Grand Canyon (AZ), Zion Nat'l Park (AZ), Carlsbad Caverns (NM), San Antonio River Walk (TX), You can tour the Dallas Cowboys stadium (aka Texas Stadium for $5 on non-game day), Bourbon Street (New Orleans, LA), Mississippi River, Beaches in Alabama, Savannah (GA), Hilton Head (SC), Williamsburg (VA), Washington DC (definitely), drive through PA and CT (boring!), Boston baby!
My husband and I went from Boston to LA a few years ago and saw these things. And any and all sporting events we could get to. It's cool to see the different baseball stadiums. Some are really nice! Do you have a moving company? We're going back this summer and are wondering if it's cheaper to do the moving company or U-Haul. When we came out we had nothing, now we have furniture and things to take back.
