I am goign to school in East Texas (Sam Houston State) and am looking for a good road trip to end the semester with. Will travel May 10- 17 and looking for fun, quirky, or original places to visit. Also looking for any music venues or festivals and some good dive bars!!
Texas Road Trip
Take a drive to Corpus Christi. This a remote part of Texas and the drive itself is interesting - but Corpus is a nice small city; laid back, good music, good food ... lotsa Gulf Coast beach and some good history (check out the Science and Histroy museum). They have some good local night life bars, too.
