    Well I seem to be getting myself into a trip from Chicago to San Francisco in May. It's going to be roundtrip and we may have to do it with time constraints. So is there really a way to have a fun trip of 4000+ miles in 9 or less days? Or is it just going to be driving for the sake of driving? Are we better off flying back so we can take in more sites on the way out there?

    By all means, fly back if you can afford it. Take as much time to see the country as you can.
