-Boulder and Estes Park (Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park), CO
-Route 40 through CO (take I70 out of Denver then hop on 40 all the way to Utah) Stop in at Dinosaur Nat'l Park
-Moab
-Bryce Canyon
-Zion
-Grand Canyon
-Vegas
-Hoover Dam

Considering the weather,I would I-81 south to Knoxville then take I-40 all the way to Arizona.40 is a good route and 81 is very beautiful most of the way.There are plenty of things to see along 40 in New Mexico and Arizona.Join AAA and get maps and tour books for your route.Be sure to get their "Indian Country" map should you join.It is well worth the $60 or so to join,which includes towing etc.Good luck.
