Great Lakes

I want to do a road trip from Boston to the Great lakes does anyone out there have ideas of good places to go and things to see. Someone meationed the thousand islands but I have no clue about which cities are nice. The goal for the trip is to see some cool stuff and relax on a beach!!!

The Canadian side of Niagara Falls is wonderful. They have very well kept gardens and park grounds. Near there on the Canadian side is Niagara-on-the-Lake. You can find a lovely park on the waterside along with quaint shops just a few blocks away. Living near the US/Canadian border, I go to these places often and find them relaxing. Enjoy your trip!
