    Default Canada border crossing/Road Conditions

    Hello all,
I am going on a 4 day road trip to Boston. Leaving on a thursday night from Madison, WI and returning the following Monday night.

My question is about the amount of time it would take us to cross the border. I've heard mixed responses on the time it will take. Before Sept 11th, I've crossed many times to and from Windsor/Detroit, and we've only been stopped and searched once (but we had 8 people in a van that wasent ours)... This time we'll be in a brand new car, and there will be 4 of us.. ages 21-24.. 2 guys 2 girls.. We just plan on driving through southern Ontario and stopping at Niagra Falls. We'll probally reach the border crossing into canada at like 3am, and crossing at Port Huron MI.. and reach the crossing back to America at like 7 or 8am and crossing at Niagra falls.

Has anyone here had expierences, good or bad, crossing the borders since the 9-11 attacks. I guess if Its going to take us 1/2 hour to get through customs each time we'll probally go south around the lake.

Also does anyone have any first hand expierence w/ the road conditons in the past week or two in the area?

    Thanks
    LAURA

This route will take you across two lake effect snow belts. London On. and Buffalo NY. My advice is to avoid these areas if possible.
