LA TO THE EAST COAST!!

I've never been to the east coast, and I was thinking sometime in Jan-Feb I'd like to go. The only problem is, I'm afraid to fly or travel alone. I'm an 18 year old female..and I'm looking for other female or male companions to travel with. I don't have a car, but I am willing to pay the gas money. I'm very down to earth and generally easy to get along with. Just need to get out of LA. If you are interested, please let me know :D
