Default Dubliner in Shadow of US Capital Bldg.

    Don Walsh: . I wanted
to bring one of my all time favorite restaurant/pubs to your attention. It is
the "Dubliner" located at 520 N. Capitol Street NW. It is in the shadow of
the US Capitol Building, and a 2 minute walk from the fabulous train station.
The specialty of the house is a very delicious amber ale. If you enjoy a good
glass of brew, then have at least two! They have an entree that is called
"Beef O'Flaraty" (sic) that is thinly sliced sirloin of beef with a delicious
bleu cheese sauce baked in with it. There is live music almost every
evening, but I must warn you it is generally Irish folk music. Very raucious
crowd, good food, good ale, good time!

    Default Irish in DC

After trying a few ales at the Dubliner, walk (or stumble) next door to the Irish Times. It's far more raucous than the Dubliner and there is no better place in DC to be less than sober.
