road trip from LA to austin texas

we are moving from LA to austin around 30th july.have an 18 month old.will be carrying 4 big suitcases+little more stuff which should fit in the car.need help in planning like where to make stop for the night and additional stops.how is tucson arizona for staying the night.please let me know.

There are several nice motels near the Interstate. No problems.
