I-80 (old 40) Nevada

I am looking for any suggestions of stops directly off of the I-80 (old 40) in Nevada.I'll be trveling with our 2 year old and my husband this Summer. Any neat parks right off there to run around? Best rest stops?

Welcome to the Great American RoadTrip Forum! I wasn't sure how much of I-80 you were going to travel on -- but Virgnia City is a fun side trip.

Thanks for the tip! Virginia City looks like a lot of fun. We are driving from Sacramento, CA to SLC, UT. I have heard that along I-80 is mostly desert? Would we have to travel 25 minutes off I-80 to do something or are there any nice stops a minute or two off the Interstate?
