While the Mohawk is very much a locals and hunters bar and restaurant, it's also an easy-going and very welcoming joint. The beer's cold, the meals are generous and the decor is well, let's just say it's not for the squeamish. ...

This is a unique motel in a gorgeous city. Family-run business with a very welcoming lobby area. In the mornings homemade Banana Bread and a fruit salad is provided. They serve Craven's Blend, a local roasted coffee and a variety of teas. In the late afternoon, they serve wine and a selection of snacks and baked goods. The Homemade Candied Pecans are superb. Clayton Lake State Park is a good place for camping, fishing and boating, but there is another compelling reason to visit: one of the largest collections of dinosaur footprints in the country. Uncovered by a flood in 1982, this cluster of some 500 tracks from the Cretaceous Period is protected by a fence, but you still can get close enough to ...

Louisville has come to be associated with the booming business of producing and selling fine bourbon whiskey. There is a Urban Bourbon Trail which includes about twenty of these establishments in downtown Louisville. All of these lounges offer a little "passport" booklet listing brief histories about the bourbon distilleries. When visitors obtain six stamps in their passport they can obtain a free t-shirt. It's a fun way to see these places. ...
