• Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge Viewing Visitor Center

This is the parking lot and visitor center for the new bridge that crosses the Colorado River just downstream from the Hoover Dam. One of the more amazing vertical views -- straight down 900 feet to the Colorado River. For a very short period of time, when the bridge was completed in 2010 it could lay title to the longest concrete span arch in America. The span is 1,060 feet long. The twin arches contain 2,000 tons of steel and 9,000 cubic yard of concrete. What's really interesting is that the base of the arch are situated at different levels on the canyon wall (Nevada to Arizona).

      If you go:
Be sure to carry water, and wear a hat in the summer months.

It's a very cool walk across the bridge, the best viewing area to see the bridge is still from Hoover Dam!
