Default trip from Michigan to Charleston SC - end of March

we would like to plan an road trip starting in Michigan and ending in South Carolina, perhaps around Charleston SC. We would like to stop at historical sites and points of interest such as natural attractions. We were wondering about attractions around with Smokey MT as well

Default Before We Can Do That

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

Before anyone can offer you any meaningful advice, they'd have to know at least roughly where in Michigan you're starting from. You'd be on completely different routes to Charleston if you were starting from Detroit (I-90/I-76...), St. Joseph (US-31/I-74/I-75/I-40...), or Menominee (US-41/I-43/I-90/I-65/I-64/I-75...). The other thing that would be very helpful for them to know would be how long you have for the journey.

We always enjoy staying in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, by the entrance of the Great Smokey National Park. We usually stay at the reasonably-priced Four Seasons Hotel right downtown and within walking distance of most anywhere you will want to go.
