My husband and me planning to drive to New York from Los Angeles. It will take around 2~3 weeks on the road, really appreciate if we can get any suggestion here?

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!
The best advice we ever give people on this site is that we can't give generic advice on what are the best routes, or the best sights to see, or any other list of 'bests' because such classifications are a matter of personal taste. What I would enjoy you might find boring or even excruciating. So what you'll get as a first 'suggestion' is to get a good set of maps, or at least a good fairly large scale map if the US, and start marking out those places that you would absolutely want to hit on your way east. Once you've got half a dozen or so such targets spread out across the country start connecting the dots, either by the most efficient routes (if time is a factor) or the most scenic routes (if that's what you want. At that point you can start looking for secondary sites along the routes that will break up your driving days and keep them interesting and you refreshed. With as long as a few weeks to complete this drive, you really can get to just about anywhere (but not everywhere on the same trip) making it that much harder for us to give you any meaningful specific advice since we don't know what you want to see, where you would like to go, or how you would like to get there.

Welcome to the RTA Forum!
Beyond that, without any information about you, your plans (your interests, goals, your personal must-sees, one-way or round trip?), or even what kinds of of "suggestions" you might be looking for, it's going to be impossible for anyone to provide you any meaningful advice.
In the meantime, this site is packed full of ideas and "suggestions," so by all means, spend a little time looking around and let us know how we can help.
