NY and Chicago

Hi all,I'm planning a trip for around about July 2016 and want to get everything booked up as early as possible. The 2 places I wish to visit this time are NY and Chicago and was planning on driving between the 2,I'd also quite like to add Philly as well,some nature would also be good.any advice appricated.and the planned trip is for 10-14 days

New York to Chicago is easily driven in 2 days, so having more time at your disposable will help you "see a lot".

Philadelphia -- the historic district is where most people spend time, which includes Independence Hall, The Liberty Bell, the Betsy Ross home, City Pub, and more. The Mint is nearby. If you like organ music, walk about 8 blocks down to Macy's, where there is an organ concert two times per day (one is usually around rush hour, to help you avoid being on the highway at that hour).

Gettysburg -- close enough to the area, and of course the site of the biggest, most-well-known battle of the Civil War. We took two days to be able to see it, could have spent more time. It takes a half day to even breeze through the Visitor Center.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park -- lots of nature in there, with the ability to hike or bike through it.

Cleveland has the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.

If you choose to go the southern way through Dayton, there's aeronautical historical sites there. There's the Wright Bros sites and the National Museum of the US Air Force (which can take 1-7 days to see it ALL). You could also go through Waponetka to the Neil Armstrong Museum in his hometown.
