  1. Default Help!

Leaving from Panama City Beach back to northern NJ. We have two nights on the road. Where could we stop for two nights in a beach area after driving 10-12 hrs. from origin (Panama City Beach).

    Default Shouldn't Be a Problem

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

You could almost, emphasize almost, make it all the way up to New Jersey in two full days of driving. The addition of the constraint that your overnight stops be in beach areas does make things quite a bit more problematical, but it should still be doable. If you start out eastbound on I-10 to Jacksonville and head north on I-95, then US-17 would take you into the Charleston area with Folly Beach, Sullivans Island, Isle of Palms, and other beach towns. On day 2, head back inland on I-26 to I-95 north until northern North Carolina where you'd take US-158/US-301 into Garysburg and NC-186/VA-186 to Boykins. A short jog northbound on VA-35 will put you on VA-671 to US-58 eastbound at Franklin. At Suffolk VA pick up US-13 north to Virginia Beach for your second night's stay. On day 3 cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel to the Delmarva Peninsula and continue on US-13 (and DE-1 where appropriate) to the Wilmington area, where I-95 and I-295 will take you over the Delaware Memorial Bridge and put you onto the New Jersey Turnpike up to the northern parts of that state.
