  1. Default San Francisco via New Orleans to New York in 35 days

Hi everyone, we are two norwegian lads hungry for adventure!
We are planning a roadtrip from San Francisco via Phoenix, New Orleans and Nashville to New York,
and we are wondering if it's possible to do this in 35 days, with mixed driving,
some sleepovers in different cities, and some clean, long, driving sessions.
Any input will be greatly appreciated, and if you have other advice or comments as well,
    we will be very grateful.

    Best regards,

    The Hardly Boys

    Default a raging clue

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

Certainly going from Coast to Coast in a little over a month is very possible and leaves plenty of time to explore whatever you are interested in. You really wouldn't need to even have any long driving days, since you could drive the route you are talking about in roughly a week.

As far as what to do with your time and finding adventure, the ball is kind of in your court. You haven't told us anything about you, what you are interested in, why you've picked the cities you've mentioned, etc. However, really anytime you're talking about a trip that covers the entire country, there is just too much to narrow down the millions of possibilities for you.

We'll be glad to help with any questions you might have as you work forward in your planning.

    Default "Lads".

As you use the term "Lads", it might be worth pointing out that almost always any drivers under the age of 25 years will face daily 'Young driver fees' on top of the rental cost which could put a big hole in the budget. With 35 days you have plenty of time to 'cruise' around and if you wanted to avoid 'One way drop off fees for your rental and see more of the country, you would have time to do a loop trip back to where you started from.

Just dig around the forums using the search function and check out the planning links in the tool bars above with a good map of the US at hand and you will find a wealth of ideas and info that will help with your planning.
