  1. Default Seattle to Chicago end of July

Relocating from Seattle to Chicago so thought we would do a road trip on our way there. This is the first time we are travelling in this direction. Need advice what to see and where to stay for the night. We are a family of 3 adults, have 7-8 days to spare, interested in nature, history and points of interest and uniqueness.

    Welcome to the RTA forum!

Your basic route would follow I-90, where there is certainly no shortage of nature, histry, and unique points of interest.

The obvious big ones are Yellowstone, the Black Hills (Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Jewel and Wind Caves, and more), and the Badlands.

Seattle to Chicago is about a 4 day drive, if you aren't sightseeing, so having a full week will give you a nice amount of time to explore a few of those great areas.

Of course, also make sure to check out the map center, which can offer many more specific idea and stops to fill out your trip. But as you have more questions, we'll be here to help.
