She has some family in Maryland and we plan on going to St Augustine for a few days but apart from that are still really lacking a definite route any ideas or advice would be fantastic we are over to get a feel of as many places as possible as we are considering of moving over after we get married.

    Default Some Ideas

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

As you might imagine, up and down the East Coast is a popular RoadTrip, so let me start by pointing you to a basic loop that might work for you and should at least give you some ideas. After you've had a look at that, let us know if there are other specific areas, either geographical or interest centered, where you need more assistance.

Myrtle Beach should be a definite stop. This town and nearby North Myrtle Beach is the home of Carolina Beach Music. Near the NC/SC line is a great little town called Calabash, famous for its seafood.

Further up the coast is Southport, a historic seaport. Take the ferry across the Cape Fear River to Fort Fisher and then Carolina Beach where you want to stop by the boardwalk for Britt's Donuts.

While in eastern North Carolina, definitely stop for the pork bbq.
