    Default sometimes SWAG's work

Decided to google image search "Michigan Governor's Mansion" and guess what?

Lawrence A Young cottage on Mackinac Island, summer residence of the governor of Michigan.

    Default Inspired guess Don?

I Google-Imaged (is that a verb?) "Sarah Palin's House" and then gave up.

Default sometimes it is better to be lucky than good

I don't know; I actually wasn't thinking Mackinac, but I've been there and maybe my subconscious was trying to tell me something. It looked vaguely midwestern, and possibly associated with one of the Great Lakes, so I took a shot.

I might have gone down the Palin path too, but I didn't see any moose.

Default That was a real hat-trick!

    Wow, I am impressed.

Have you Bing-imaged yet? Megan likes their image gallery more-- I'm not quite as used to it yet as Google's.

Default See I told you it was easy......

You guys are good! All it takes is a couple of good clues and you're right on it! I'll try to find a hard one next time.

    Default Maybe a little harder.....

This one might be a little harder.
    What is this building?
    Where is it located?

Default A clue or two ...

To me it could be just about any National Park Service visitor center in the country so yes, I think a clue or two would help.

    Default NPS Visitor Center.......

It is indeed a NPS Visitor Center. The question is where is it located?

Clue #1: A closer look at the right side of the picture through the trees shows that there is water behind the building (OK, I'll admit it is hard to see, but it is there). The water is a lake with an Indian name.

    Default Some random guesses ...

    • The first name I thought of: Lake Sakakawea, ND?
    • The only "obviously Indian-named" lake in a National Park I could find: Lake Kabetogama in Voyageurs NP?
    • Somewhere near you: Allatoona Lake, GA?

Think we might need a more specific clue!

Default 2nd guess a good one....

Your 2nd guess was right on target. It is the Ash River Visitor Center overlooking Kabatogama Lake in Voyageurs National Park, MN. Good job!
