Let's see riparian wash, desert southwest, limestone cliffs, tamarisk -- I think we might need a clue on this one!

There is a well-known river here but the river is not in the name of the place.

The clues are tougher to understand than the photos....

I'm thinking the Rio Grande is the river? I guess the gorge has some other name, though . . .

The Rio Grand River is correct. The right side of the canyon is Mexico and the left side is the USA. Questions remaining are: What is the name of the canyon? Where is it located?

It really looks like Santa Elena...Maybe Boquillas?
