Yes, it is Fort Churchill on the Carson River. Originally built at an extremely high cost of $$ and resources to safeguard the Pony Express route and keep the Paiute nation "calmed down." And even some better photos from our colleagues at GhostTowns.com I was there after the park had closed one day -- but there are remnants of more than 20 buildings on the site....
