Places to visit on the way, Dallas to Orlando

Hi All,

I am planning a trip from Dallas to Orlando, Fl. I'll start on 23rd Dec, 2008 Evening and hope to reach Orlando on 25th Midnight. I would like to take some rest at the spots worth visiting on the way. I'll be going through Mobile, Al, Pensacola, FL.
I am planning to take halt in Pensacola and visit some places there.
Can some one point out some good places that must be visited in Pensacola, FL?

Could you clarify your trip a bit? When you say you plan to arrive in Orlando around midnight, do you mean at the end of the day on the 25th (11:59pm) or are you talking about the early morning hours of the 25th?

I would hope you are not thinking of arriving the night of the 24th/morning of the 25th. The trip is 1200 miles and would essentially force you to drive non-stop for 20+ hours. That really doesn't give you any time to stop anywhere, and unless you have at least 3 drivers with experience driving in shifts, it isn't a very safe idea.
