  1. Default Aussie girl making road trip from San Francisco to Tucson

    Hi everyone,
in a couple of weeks i will be heading to Mexico, and I want to go the route via Tucson.

I have a few days to spare so i want to make quality time, over 'good time'. Ideally i would like to head down the coast a little first, like to Santa Barbara or something and then head inland towards Tucson.

Can anyone suggest a good route to take, that also has some interesting sites and quaint little places along the way to stop at?

I would really appreciate any help and also knowing the names of the towns i should be passing through on the way and of course which ones are best to stop at, would be a great help too.

    Thanks very much!
    Tess

    Default Welcome!

Welcome to the RoadTrip America Forum!

How much time do you have allotted for this journey?

Heading down the coast in that area essentially means that you will be driving on the Pacific Coast Highway. From there, you can head East on I-10 to Tucson and then onto I-19 to Mexico.
