Iam visiting/ holidaying in America for the first time.
My Husband and I want to Drive from SF-Vegas-Grand Canyon- LA -Big Sur back to SF
We have 7-8 full days of travel time.
Please help us plan an itinerary with 2 days in LA and 2 days in Vegas.
1.What i need most help with is drive time from each place,
2. the parking scenario( costs) and
3. other small er place we could stop on the way to take a quick peek

Hello and welcome to the R.T.A. forums,

I am unsure whether you mean 7-8 days including L/A and L/V [4 days] or those are added days i.e 12 days in total.

This is a spectacular part of the U.S.A and a very popular route and you will find lots of info available on these forums.

A popular choice is to travel to Yosemite and cross the sierra's on the Tioga pass [hwy 120] and down through Death valley to Vegas, but this will largely depend on when you want to travel as it can close due to weather and will do permanently for the winter anytime from late Oct [occasionally sooner] up to June.

Here's a great link that covers the area. And this one has good info on the coast. That should get you started but come back with details of when you are going and how long [it's prob just me ;-) and we can help you piece it together.
