Just finished a motorcycle trip to northern NV, Oregon, Idaho and E. WA.
The road WA129 south from Clarkston WA is a great motorcycle road...twisties and ups and downs through a beautiful area...only problem was it was snowing and raining. A clear area around Enterprise, OR gave us a chance to dry off and grab some good food at New York Richies....highly recommended for burgers...the whole town seems to eat lunch there. The roads in central and southeastern Oregon are great mostly empty roads....Great stops...Fields, Frenchglen (great hotel), OR. From Elko, NV the road north to Idaho (225) is lonely and beautiful and watch out of crickets crossing the road in June by the gazillions....don't miss the Ruby Mountains south of Elko also.
North from Boise on 55 takes you to beautiful McCall, ID.....lots of roads in the area to explore.....Stanley is a good start. The entire trip was 2400 miles and not too expensive due to 50mpg on the bike.
