San Francisco to Las Vegas via Yosemite

We will not be in San Francisco till May 2008 my partner and I and 2 friends are looking to travel from San Francisco to Las Vegas via Yosemite.

As you will read in these posts, Tioga Pass is pretty iffy for early May. But you can still visit Yosemite on the way to Las Vegas, but you will need to do some zig zagging. Either over Sonora Pass or one of the other passes north or south that might be open.
