Corny? Bah!
Hey Bob,
Why corny? Did you try the siesta-against-the-tree-wearing-a-cowboy-hat-with-the-car-in-the-background kinda thing?:-)) Per chance you didn't have toffee bars with you at that time, you wouldn't have been able to smile with all that sticky stuff in your mouth! Take it easy buddy!:-)lol
Take care!

You're absolutely right
I always used to wish I were living in other places, because I guess when you live some where for a long time, you just tend to ignore everything right in your back yard. But once I stopped to look around, I realized that I pretty much have more than a lifetimes worth of exploring without ever leaving my own state. After I realized that, I've been doing a lot more local travel and finding a lot of places that I just never noticed. I'll try and put up some of my more interesting photos one of these days. I just wish I had bought a digital camera earlier.

New additions
I've added some photos from a recent trip to California, if anyone is interested. They are of Yosemite (Tioga Pass Road, SR120), the coast highway (SR1) between Monterey and San Luis Obispo (Big Sur), and San Diego.
Unfortunately, my vacation is over and I must return to the salt mines tomorrow! The link is http://bschaller.photosite.com

Siesta?

Very tired now...
Well, you can SEE I had a strenuous trip! My armchair vacation was fast-paced and full of contemplation -- which takes a LOT out of a person. I got very fatigued loading and unloading, & unfolding and re-folding that chair.

Poor Bob!
Poor little boy!
I'm sending you candies right away to cheer you up:-)) I hope you won't have any back problems because of all that folding and unfolding!lol
