Hey everyone! Just wanted to put our first post here with a history or our road trips with our kids in our 1987 VW Westfalia. We have taken them all over the west coast and parts of Canada and had plans to head further east this year but decided against it due to Covid. I can try and paste the reports into the threads but not sure if our server can handle the pic traffic or not so I have included a link that list the reports.
Let me know if you have any questions and I will work on the pic part for easier viewing.

While we would love to have you share your experiences, we have to ask that you share them on RoadTrip America.

We simply have had too many people try to use our community only as a place to promote their own blogs/websites/etc so we have long established rules that new members can't post outside links. If you stick around and share some of your knowledge here for a while, we can revisit the issue of allowing links to your site.

Understood on the external links it just makes sharing new stories very hard when having to post on several forums. I will see if I can get a few up.

Hello, and welcome!

If your primary purpose in coming here is to post something that will draw traffic to your blog or your travel site, you'll probably be disappointed, but if your purpose is to tell your story, and share your experience with as many people as possible, then you've come to the 'write' place.

Most visitors to this Forum come here seeking advice, which we quite gleefully provide. There is a subset of users who post what we call Field Reports, in which we create threads, usually illustrated with a lot of photos, detailing our own experience on the road. Here's a link to a very good example, posted by one of our Forum Moderators a few years ago:

And here's one of my own, which has been read and enjoyed by far more people than I ever could have drawn to my own website. (And yes, I have one of those. Doesn't everybody?;-) Anyway, here's a link to my Field Report:
