Musings About Kansas and Missouri Travels with COVID
When we arrived in Kansas, they had just received the word that they would be going to masks requirement as of July 3rd. It was about half-and-half with masks wherever we went. Out of courtesy to others, but particularly my mom, we wore our masks. Most of the workers in the retail and travel industry were wearing masks, and in the food service. Except one: Dairy Queen workers did not wear masks or gloves, which I found surprising. Kansas had dine-in available, most of the places had limited seating.
Missouri is pretty open. There was no one else at the Truman Farm (photos to come) so we didn't bother, and it's all outdoors. (They only do tours of the inside of the home twice a year.) We found half-n-half again about wearing masks inside retail establishments and the one restaurant we went to in Osage Beach.
