New here - Miami to New York Inq

Hey everybody!

My name is Diana and I will visit Florida at the end of the year. It´s the first time I am leaving UE (!!) and I am really excited but I would like to ask you guys which is the best way to go from Florida / Miami to New York City ?
I was thinking that since I am there..I should definitely visit the Big Apple but I have no idea how to get there. I saw some flights but they are pretty expensive so I was thinking that maybe you "locals" know a better way.

For instance, I live in Spain and here we have a website, BlaBla Car, where people go to certain places and can take you also in the car and split the costs. Do you guys have any websites like this or similar?

Reserving this far in advance, you can travel from Miami to NYC for $152 US on Amtrak (the train). However, I'm seeing flights for $70! I chose December 19 as the travel date. If there is nothing between Miami and NYC that you want to see, it would not make sense to travel by car.
