A week from Denver to Los Angeles

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I are planning a 6-7 day trip from Denver to Los Angeles and wanted some advice on what not to miss and how to make sure we don't try and do too much!

Initial idea are from Denver (maybe visiting Rocky Mountain on the way out) to Arches/Canyonlands first...then down through Monument valley/Antelope Canyon/Horseshoe Bend - up to Zion or Bryce and then straight down to LA, perhaps via Death Valley (or probably not given time).

Is this do-able in the time? Are we trying to fit in too much - if so what should we not remove? Are we missing off anything unmissable?

You have obviously done some research and come up with good ideas and if they appeal to you that's what you should go for. With 6-7 days it will be quite a busy schedule and you may find that booking tours for Antelope canyon could make it difficult to fit in, but you can always play it by ear. The fact is there are thousands of amazing attractions between the two city's and no bad choices. If you are happy to keep on the move you should get a good overview of those places, if you want a more relaxed affair then you could go from Monument valley to the South rim of the Grand canyon and then on to LA, possibly via Joshua Tree. You could even skip MV and Page and instead go from Arches through Capital Reef NP and on to Bryce via Utah scenic Byway 12 and then Zion.
